Monday night at my place has affectionately become known as “fight night”. It’s when two tired little cranky heads, along with a dog that needs walking, clash with my ability to cook a slapdash dinner within minutes of walking through the door. There’s usually heated discussion over the concept of homework, bath and bed, and when I’ve run out of bribes, it invariably ends in a stand-off over the bath that has run cold or dinner they won’t eat.
