As I write this editor’s letter I am just a week into completing Dry July – the alcohol-free month undertaken to raise money for people living with cancer. It’s such a worthy cause – having seen my own dad suffering, and witnessing the effect cancer has on people’s dignity and quality of life. The money raised goes to hospitals and other cancer centres to give things such as better chairs, nicer facilities, newer equipment… the list goes on. I am a big fan of wine and love nothing more than a glass or two after work, but I’m also a big fan of the Dry July Foundation and what it achieves. It’s hard to give up the booze, yes – though our story on page 66 may help – but…
Bubbly Jess! Filming has started for the upcoming season of The Secret Daughter and it looks like it’s going to be full of musical surprises! Jessica Mauboy, who plays Billie, looked delighted to be back on set, after saying last season was the highlight of her career. On a high! Singer Pink has her hands full with her two children, daughter Willow, six, and son Jameson, six months, but she’s absolutely loving motherhood. And with a baby as cute as her little guy, how could she not?! Bob’s wild ride Can you believe Bob Irwin is already getting behind the wheel? “Steve’s old ute is making more special memories!” Terri captioned a sweet shot of her and big sis Bindi giving him his first driving lesson. ‘She’s made no secret of the fact she wants to have another child with Damien’ Only one thing could outshine Bali’s endless sunny days last week – Fifi Box’s megawatt smile! The radio host looked to be having a ball as she kicked back and relaxed on her first “family” holiday with her gorgeous three-year-old daughter Trixie, her boyfriend of six months, Neighbours star Damien Richardson, and his daughter Maisie. It’s little wonder Fifi – who meticulously planned and paid for the foursome’s no-expense-spared, two-week getaway, which included stays at the InterContinental Jimbaran and some of Bali’s most exclusive villas – looked so happy. A friend has told Woman’s Day they wouldn’t be surprised if the 40-year-old is on the verge of announcing some exciting news. “Fifi has always been…
Prince Harry may be forced to defend his actress girlfriend once more, amid reports her ex-husband Trevor Engelson has been offered more than $1 million to write a tell-all book about his short-lived marriage to the Suits star. ‘Trevor’s been tempted to open up about what he calls “years of hell”’ Sources close to the deal tell Woman’s Day exclusively that with interest in Toronto-based Meghan Markle at an all-time high, the price is finally right for film producer Trevor, 40, to lift the cover on the girl he dated for six years before tying the knot in 2011 and then divorcing in 2013. Insiders allege that Trevor has been asked to spill details about his and Meghan’s sex life, Meghan’s parents’ marriage breakdown, allegations of diva antics and temper…
Attending the first day of Wimbledon, the Duchess of Cambridge looked the picture of health as she took in all the tennis action. As Woman’s Day previously reported, Kate, 35, is said to be in the early stages of her third pregnancy, and so far has avoided the harrowing morning sickness she was plagued with while expecting George and Charlotte. And in addition to sporting a new ’do, Kate, who is the royal patron of the tennis competition, was protectively touching her stomach, which appeared ever so slightly rounder, as she cheered on British champ Andy Murray. She also appeared a little puffier in the face, leading fans to believe a special royal announcement will be made in the coming weeks.…
It’s been a big and busy week in the lives of young Prince George and his little sister Princess Charlotte. ‘They were chatting with the other parents’ Alongside their parents and their uncle Prince Harry, the youngest royals last week attended a private family service to rededicate the grave of the grandmother they sadly never got to meet, Princess Diana. The small family group visited the gravesite at the Spencer family estate, Althorp, in Northampton, on what would have been Diana’s 56th birthday. While it was a sombre affair as Princes William and Harry mourned their beloved mother – with William recently revealing he’d have loved Diana to meet his kids – George’s next outing was far more joyous. Just days later, the cheeky three-year-old attended orientation day at the…
