Celebrity chef Colin Fassnidge has been charged with driving under the influence of cocaine after he was stopped for a random roadside drug test early last month. The MKR NZ and Off The Grid star, 52, was pulled over by police while driving near his home in Maroubra, Sydney on 8 November, when he allegedly returned a positive result for cocaine. The Irish-born chef was arrested and undertook a second test, where he reportedly returned another positive result. Colin is set to face court next month. It comes after the father of two raised eyebrows during an interview where he claimed chefs were “the worst people in the world”. TURKEY SALAD WITH HONEY DRESSING SERVES 4 PREP 15 MINS COOK 4 MINS • ½ cup pistachios • 2 baby cos lettuce, trimmed, leaves separated • 300g leftover turkey breast, coarsely shredded • 1 mango, peeled, sliced • 1 avocado, peeled, sliced • pomegranate seeds, to serve DRESSING • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil • 2 tbsp lemon juice • 2 tbsp honey • 2 tsp wholegrain mustard 1 Spread pistachios on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on High for 2 mins or until toasted. Remove. Cool. 2 DRESSING Combine all ingredients in a small jug. Season with salt and pepper. Gemma was Kerry’s mum’s dog and she is now with Kerry’s dad, who has many pooches around him. Gemma is connecting with another dog that is still living. Missing valuable sleep is difficult at the best of times, but it can be even more frustrating when you think you’ve snoozed a full eight hours and still feel tired in the morning. There are plenty of reasons for fatigue, but one of the most common causes is obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA). While it’s more common in men, many women get this condition too and it can be even harder to detect. “Once a woman is of menopausal age, the risk of sleep apnoea is then similar to that of a male,” explains Dr Moira Junge, registered health psychologist and CEO of the Sleep Health Foundation. CHRISTMAS HONEY NOUGAT MACADAMIA BOMBE SERVES 8-10 PREP 30 MINS • 2-litre tub vanilla ice cream • 120g Europe Summer Roll bars or any nougat, sliced, plus extra to serve • ½ cup honey macadamias, roughly chopped • 4 cups (500g) crumbled fruit cake • chocolate ice cream topping, fresh blackberries, to serve 1 Grease a metal pudding steamer (8 cup-capacity). Line crossways with two long narrow strips of baking paper, to extend 5cm above the edge. Line base with baking paper. 2 Spoon ice cream into a large bowl.
