Pop pioneer Madonna is known for her wild parties, but her 66th birthday bash, held at the Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, turned out to be a fairly sedate family affair.
The superstar singer hosted a dinner for 28 friends and family at the archaeological site, with all six of her kids, Lourdes Leon, 27, Rocco Ritchie, 24, David Banda, 18, Mercy James, 18, and twins Stella and Estere, 13, flying in for the special occasion.
The Like A Virgin hitmaker’s boyfriend, Jamaican footballer Akeem Morris, 28, was also in attendance as Madonna modelled a selection of sensational Dolce & Gabbana outfits and tucked into a cake in the shape of a Roman bust – with one breast exposed, of course – and a large letter M.
