After tying the knot on July 3, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton are keen to cement their new family even further by having the country singer adopt Gwen’s three boys Kingston, 15, Zuma, 12 and Apollo, seven.
“Blake loves those kids like they were his own already. He doesn’t want to just be a friend to them – he wants to properly become their dad,” says a source.
Indeed, Blake, 45, has gushed of the trio, “I can’t imagine my life without these kids now.”
But insiders say the boys’ father, Gavin Rossdale, 55, is firmly against the idea. “Gavin’s not willing to give Blake an inch on this subject,” tells a source of the rocker, who’s had a hostile relationship with ex-wife Gwen, 51, since they split in 2015…
