For Hua Dai, the path to Dress for Success was a deeply tragic one. After her son was murdered by her husband in September 2000, Hua spent time in a women’s retreat in Piha, grieving and recovering from a head injury. When making her first attempt to re-enter paid employment, she was referred to Dress for Success.
