Emilie Le Breton (better known as Lillie Langtry, 1853–1929), actor; Graeme Le Saux (born 1968), footballer; the Lord Mayor of London Sir Paul Le Mesurier (1755-1805); and Maya Le Tissier (born 2002), Lioness… all of these people have something in common. Despite their French-sounding names, they were born in one of the Channel Islands.
