FamilySearch expands its collections from Italy
Free family history site FamilySearch (familysearch.org) has made a major upgrade to its civil birth, marriage and death registration records from Italy, transcribed by volunteers. In total, 33,758,130 records have been added to 83 collections. The record sets cover all parts of the country, including Genoa, Bologna, Naples, Sicily, Milan, Rome and Venice. Some of the records date back as far as the 16th and 17th centuries, with the most recent covering 1955.
