Q My great great grandmother, Eliza Allison, was born in Colston Bassett, Nottinghamshire. She was baptised on 26 January 1834 at the Church of St Mary in the village, and her father, William Yates Allison, was the local schoolmaster. On 24 June 1857, Eliza gave birth to an illegitimate daughter, Elizabeth Maria, by Henry Burgess Martin, the son of her father's boss. However, she went on to marry Frederic Fisher, a joiner, at St Mary's on 8 October 1865. Eliza and Frederic disappeared after their marriage, leaving Elizabeth with Eliza's parents.
I can find no records relating to the couple after their marriage. What happened to them?
