Collections cover Arbroath, Brechin, Carnoustie, Forfar, Kirriemuir, Montrose, Monifieth and rural areas across Angus. The archive holds burgh/council records, school logbooks and poor relief registers. You’ll find valuation rolls for the county of Forfarshire/Angus, Brechin Cathedral and Arbroath Abbey burials, plus indexes of sasines (records of the transfer of property) and kirk session records for Montrose, Glamis and Kirriemuir. These sit alongside records for weavers, shoemakers and tailors, plus indexes to a collection of 15,000 photographs.
