“Glasses are not (just) an accessory, they are the most essential of accessories, as their purpose is to enable us to see,” assures Maison Bonnet, the century-old eyewear house specializing in the design of made-to-measure frames. It was in the 1930s and in the Jura region when Alfred Bonnet started a family business that today spans four generations. Today, it is his grandson’s son, Christian Bonnet, who runs the Maison, accompanied by his sons, Steven and Franck. In addition to them, among craftsmen, optometrists and opticians, the team is made up of 20 experts distributed throughout the Burgundy workshop and the two boutiques, both in the London district of Mayfair and in Paris.
The latter, opened under the arcades of the Palais Royal in 2009, houses the firm’s private apartments.…
