This time we have even more new vehicles, primarily from the biggest British brands, but also from Bürstner, Etrusco and Niesmann + Bischoff. THE last time this magazine featured a Buccaneer motorhome was back in 2001. The name didn’t die at that point but it has been the preserve of caravans, representing Erwin Hymer Group UK’s flagship models, above the Xplore and Elddis brands. In more than two decades since, the British motorhome landscape has changed almost beyond recognition, so it’s perhaps a surprise to see the brand return now. WITH its keen pricing, Etrusco is eager to grow its UK market share. The brand operates mostly in the entry-level segment and, while prices are yet to be confirmed, adding more models to the Base T range that was launched last year, means there will be greater choice of its lowest-priced models. Etrusco currently has seven UK dealers, but is hoping to announce more soon. CONSORT Motorhomes has developed quite a following amongst those seeking a high-quality rear lounge campervan with an emphasis on practicality, born out of Jane and Scot Naylor’s many years of using their campervans. Detractors might say that Consort’s six models all look much the same but you can choose lengths from 5.41m to 6.36m and now an increasing variety of versions within each. This Duet differs from the established Oslo in the longest Fiat/Peugeot panel van by offering extra lounging space up front, not just the swivel cab seats. THERE’S just one brand-new model in the 2026-season range from Groupe Pilote’s premium brand, Le Voyageur, but it introduces some important new features. Most obviously, one half of the face-to-face lounge has been swapped for an L-settee. Some may prefer this design and its more instantly available rear travel seats but it also adds a novelty in this class of motorhome – the option of a fifth belted seat. Le Voyageur has also enhanced the spec across its range to give greater off-grid potential. Torsus claims to build the world’s toughest, heavy-duty, off road buses – now it has a motorhome version, too, which it describes as the first expedition liner. The Torsus Praetorian Liberra is said to mix off-road capability with genuine living comfort. Born as a coach for extreme terrain, it is based on MAN TGM 4x4 with a robust tubular skeleton chassis and powered by a six-cylinder diesel engine producing 295hp and a huge 925Nm of torque. But then this is no small motorhome, measuring 8.45m long, 2.53m wide and 3.55m in height. It has a maximum gross weight of 13.5 tonnes. BÜRSTNER has often been an innovative brand. Now, with a new logo and a completely new range, this German marque is to back at the forefront of the industry. Taking the popular Lyseo TD motorhome range as its base, the new B66 is, perhaps, the least exciting of the new Bürstners, until you see the price. These anniversary models start at £76,295 (list price for a 2025-season Lyseo was from £84,990) and the new versions are described as “comprehensively updated and fully modernised.” That new price is not for a basic motorhome but a fully equipped Bürstner, based on a 140hp Fiat Ducato with automatic gearbox and Lanzarote Grey cab. FOLLOWING the successful debut of the new Arto A-class in 2025, Niesmann + Bischoff is now expanding the range with a model to sit between the existing 78 and 88 versions in size. The new Arto 84 is a tag-axle motorhome with a length of 8.45m. “The bathroom in the Arto – with more compact exterior dimensions – was a top priority for many of our customers,” says Managing Director, Hubert Brandl. “With the new Arto 84, we’ve developed the ideal layout to meet this demand.” Therefore, the bathroom has a spacious cubicle with a rain shower and a floor-to-ceiling real glass door. FIAT Ducatos dominate the full-sized campervan sector, with a good selection of MAN TGE/Volkswagen Crafter conversions for those searching for something more premium. Of course, there are Ford Transits, Peugeot Boxers and Mercedes Sprinters, too, but the Iveco Daily is a rare find indeed. It’s not the first time that the I’s – Ian Hartley and Iveco – have combined, the partnership having commenced in 2024, but this 710FLG is something unique on the campervan scene. For a start it’s BIG. That’s 7.20m long and 4.5 tonnes gross weight. And it can tow 2,500kg. THE key focus from Auto-Trail is on the Expedition entry-level campervan range, but there are a few changes across the board, including soft-close upper locker doors. From a technical standpoint, all campervans will come with a three-stage charging unit and a 70Ah AGM battery (with the option of a 100Ah lithium unit). There is a new four-inch touchscreen control panel on the Expedition, and a seven-inch screen on the V-Line and Adventure ranges. MUCH of the Elddis press conference revolved around past problems and how the company has addressed them, with an emphasis on delivery times for new vehicles, lead times for spare parts and motorhomes coming off the production line right first time (now 85%, up from just 25% three years ago). Alongside this, there’s a completely redeveloped range with the Zip System construction method introduced for all the coachbuilt motorhomes, featuring marine-grade aluminium and a Z-shaped extrusion that fully encapsulates the floor and walls to eliminate water ingress and ensure longevity. Introduced first on the range-topping Avalon, the Zip System has featured on all motorhomes built by Elddis since August. THIS year, Swift is building on the popularity of its sporty Ford-based Trekker campervans with a new Trekker coachbuilt motorhome range. With the grey sides and matching Ford cab, plus yellow accents, as on its campervan sister models, the Trekker motorhomes stand out from the crowd. And the appearance is completed by the more rugged-looking Trail grille and chunky black alloy wheels. LINCOLNSHIRE-BASED Incline Campers is a young firm, run with infectious enthusiasm by (the also young) Ryan Hutchinson. It has appeared in these pages before with its Volkswagen Transporters but has redeveloped the conversion, now called Adventurer. Although the new T7 van is on the scene, Incline is sticking with the T6.1 to keep prices real. This 21-plate example – seen at the National Motorhome & Campervan Show, Newark, in the summer – had the highly desirable 150hp 2-litre diesel engine and DSG (twin clutch) automatic transmission combo and had covered just 35k miles. WANDERING Wheels caught our attention at the National Motorhome & Campervan Show at Newark, showcasing its bespoke campervan builds. Not that it has only just started. Like a lot of campervan companies, it all began when Matt and Naomi built their own campervan eight years ago. That turned into a business and now Wandering Wheels converts around one vehicle a month in its workshop in Hampshire. Each conversion typically takes around three to three and a half months to complete.
