Gentleness is power that is also soft, nobility that is also humble, sweetness that is also intelligent, subtlety that is striking, and fragility that has the strength to transform the world around it. What do you think of when you think of “gentleness”? If your thoughts go towards weakness and meekness, then you are not alone. In a world where aggressive assertion of strength is applauded, gentleness can seem, superficially, to be at best ineffective and at worst pathetic.
