Hello, and a warm welcome to the October-November issue of VWt Lifestyle magazine.
According to market analysts Hagerty, it’s the Generation X demographic – folk born between 1965-1980 – that are the most prolific VW Bus buyers right now, and prices are continuing their upward trajectory. Indeed, Hagerty’s average insured value for VW Campers has climbed 32.6 per cent over the last five years, and quoted values have soared in the last 12 months. The current median global quoted value rose from a little over £20k in 2022 to £31,200 in 2023 for a Split, from £9,440 to £18k for a Bay and from £10,800 to £18,800 for the T25.
So how do you explain the VW Camper’s lasting appeal? Hagerty puts it down to a combination of practicality, economics…
