While genuine Okrasa kits are both rare and expensive these days, reproduction kits are available. Just Kampers (www.justkampers.com, 01256 862288), for example, offers two variants of the twin-port 30hp kit, with different carburettor linkages, for 1946-60 Beetles and 1950-60 Type 2s. Prices are £1,547. One is fitted to Just Kampers’ Mille Miglia Oval Beetle, Jack the Giant Slayer, which proved itself by being driven for over 1.000 miles on the event and has done 8,000 miles around Europe attending shows without any problems.
