Cushla Whiting
At 2013-founded jewellery business Cushla Whiting, it's a family affair. A father, who imported diamonds in New Zealand, sparked the idea for the now Melbourne-based brand made up of siblings Hamish, who sources gemstones as in-house gemologist, Anna on the business side, and namesake Cushla as creative lead. Her sister describes Cushla, who is architecturally trained, as a “perfectionist” who builds on her background to create striking geometries and timeless jewellery box staples. “Just as great architecture creates timeless spaces, jewellery, too, must be crafted to stand the test of time,” says Cushla.
