ORGANIC TEXTURES AND EARTHY TONES, and incorporating materials such as wood, are among the biggest trends in kitchens right now, according to Ceramica's resident interior decorator Zelda Belfiore. We're also seeing a move away from all-white and bold black, towards colours and textures inspired by nature, says Vince Muir, founder and creative director at Holly Wood Design. “Earthy tones – rich greens, warm browns, terracotta – are replacing stark whites, greys and blacks, creating spaces that feel inviting and grounded,” he says.
Stiles style consultant Calli Scott concurs – asked about what's trending for kitchen tiles, she says that “warm earthy tones and natural textures” are everywhere, as are colours “such as terracotta, clay neutrals, sage green and buttery shades, rather than cool greys and stark whites”.
