LATE NIGHTS AREN’T only for the young. TCM has long dedicated the wee hours of the weekend to the best cult, silent and foreign films of yesteryear during its TCM Underground, Silent Sunday Nights and TCM Imports programming blocks. But while the flicks may be old, they’re definitely still fresh.
The September 3 installment of Underground features the 1974 sci-fidrama Zardoz, starring Sean Connery as a mustachioed postapocalyptic warrior (he became the prototype for the DC Comics character Vartox).
