I’m a huge movie fan. To me, Friday never meant the end of the workweek or school week, or even the beginning of a relaxing weekend. It was always the day new movies opened! It still is, but now Friday is also when Netflix drops its latest shows. What’s also true now: TV is the most dynamic entertainment medium on the planet. You can spend two hours at home in front of your television (or other screens!)—watching your favorite shows or discovering new ones from the endless array of choices—and be just as engaged and fulfilled (you laughed! you cried!) as with any two hours at a movie theater. @TVGMMattRoush For everything TV does wrong with reboots and spinoffs, they just got one right with the spinoff of Sue Heck (Eden Sher) from The Middle. Hopefully it’s even half as good as The Middle and will stick around awhile. —Jedidia MATT ROUSH: This does take some of the sting out of my favorite family comedy’s departure this year. Now that ABC has officially ordered a pilot that reportedly will follow Sue in her young adult life and career as she leaves Orson for the big city of Chicago, my hopes are high. Season 2’s “Lady, Killer” case was such a criminally fun platform for Kristin Chenoweth’s kooky defendant and the entire ensemble cast (Sherri Shepherd, left, slayed!) that we will be raising several objections if NBC doesn’t bring it back next summer. Cheers to Suits for playing its ace. After the exits of Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle, plus Katherine Heigl’s knockout arrival, it’s cool the show still knows it’s at its best when Gabriel Macht’s multilayered Harvey (right) confronts the Specter family ghosts, as he did recently while handling his unfaithful brother’s divorce.
