Incredible up and coming NRLW player and Cook Islands Moana captain, Kiana Takairangi, is wowing us with her amazing career in rugby league! In 2024 she played for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership and after playing 11 games and scoring five tries in the season, she was awarded the club’s Player of the Year for the season. Yay! Since then, Kiana recently went to the Cook Islands and ran a clinic for girls aged 6-12, along with a nines competition to help encourage young local girls to represent their country in NRLW. OMGOSHAWK! An endangered species called the Red Goshawk was seen by ecologist Dr Tim Henderson in Central Australia for the first time in 30 years. Wow! Dr Henderson, who works at the Australian Wildlife Conservancy sanctuary, noticed the bird flying overhead and got a few snaps to show experts to confirm the speicies. Hi Castle! If you weren’t a singer-songwriter, what would you be doing? Anything to do with animals or helping people. I am currently training my puppy Fionn with some extra help to be a cardiac and medical alert assistance dog. I also do work as a public access support worker to help those with extra needs get out of their homes and do fun activities they might have thought were previously unattainable.
