What you need Crystal beads (we used 1 strand of Just Bead It beads) 2 x 35mm silver headpins 2 x silver shepherd hooks (we used Crafters Choice) Round nose pliers What to do Step 1  Place 4 crystal beads on each headpin. BIG BIRD Tracking the 12-million- year-old moa. Beneath the Kyeburn River in New Zealand’s South Island, a tractor driver recently found the fossilised footprints of a large flightless bird. The local hero told assistant curator Kane Fleury and his team at Otago Museum. “This discovery and excavation is important because it is the only finding of its kind in the South Island of New Zealand,” Kane said. “Moa evolved in the South Island and only much later spread into the North Island where all the prints had been found before this discovery.
