This is the facelifted Hyundai Elantra. It’s hard to believe that there’s a car we’ve driven before hiding underneath, such is the extensive work Hyundai has done to the exterior – sharp angles, triangular shapes and all. It is even 70mm longer than the pre-facelift.
Sadly, Hyundai Sime Darby Motor (HSDM) has dropped the Turbo variant, leaving this aggressive-looking C-segment sedan with a naturally-aspirated 2.0 that develops 150bhp and 192Nm of torque, hooked up to a six-speed automatic.
The sole variant goes on sale with a sticker price of RM109,888. For that money, HSDM has thrown in goodies like six airbags, hill-start assist, vehicle stability management (VSM), LED daytime running lights, leather upholstery, 17-inch alloys, and a seven-inch touchscreen.
