My Fur Babies
Here is my modified version of Deidre Bond-Abel’s ‘Launceston Tiles’ quilt from Issue 70. I named this quilt “My Fur Babies” and gifted it to an older lady from my church; the appliqué animals represent the different pets she’s had over the years. This was the first quilt I’ve made that was set on point, and I found that process fairly painless. I also pieced the 104 bonus HSTs from the flying geese into the backing, and whilst I love the look of it, the extra bulk of all those seams made it very challenging to quilt, so I won’t be doing that again!
