We’re all familiar with the inaugural rainbow Pride flag, created back in 1978 by American artist, activist and openly gay military veteran, Gilbert Baker. He was tasked with dreaming up a flag to empower his tribe and assigned a symbol to each of the flag’s eight coloured stripes. But, did you know that there are now over 20 Pride flags?
Cameron Nunn has designed their ABC to represent the diversity of 12 LGBTQIA+ groups, including the flag colours and patterns of the Aromantic, Bisexual, Intersex, Non-binary, MLM, Genderqueer, Agender, Lesbian, Pansexual, Asexual, Genderfluid and Transgender communities.
