Melissa Miller, of Belton, Texas, sold the 2013 bay gelding Im Brad To The Bone, ridden by La Cygne, Kansas, horseman Brad Lund for $79,000 to Dale Little Soldier of Mandan, North Dakota, at the fourth annual The Horse Sale at Rancho Rio in Wickenburg, Arizona, March 9, 2018.
“He’s been at my house since he was a 2-year-old,” Lund said. “He was a quality individual. That horse was home raised and in a reputable horse program, and we took him to a reputable sale with only 56 horses in the sale.”
The gelding, by Roo Star out of Probably Not A Shiner, is a finished head horse, and was the highest-selling rope horse of renowned auctioneer Steve Friskup’s long-time career.
