A BUNCH of Facebook groups have been launched on Thursday, May 28 for Filipinos abroad to trade their pre-loved items for essential needs now that almost everyone is affected by the crisis brought by the novel coronavirus.
After the successful launching of the Amicable Barter Community in Dubai (ABCD), the President and Founder of the Filipino Institute Mr Gabriel John Rimado mirrored the initiative through Filipino Barter Community (FBC). This time, the coverage gets wide.
“In times of crisis, most of the people don’t have the means to buy food and groceries. You only have your pre-loved items that can be exchanged with grocery items so you’d survive for another day,” Rimando said.
