Sow
Direct sow in warm frost-free areas. In colder regions do it in pots or wait till the last frost is over.
Chillies, nasturtiums, Italian parsley, curly parsley, beetroot, brinjals, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, peas, sweet peppers, radishes, rocket, green beans, spinach, Swiss chard and tomatoes.
Hot tip when sowing directly in shallow furrows
Use a commercial sowing mix to cover the seeds and fill up the furrows rather than ordinary garden soil which can form a hard crust.
