Hybrid Sculpture is a reflection on the development of sculpture since the beginning of the Nineties. Exhibited works rarely take the form of a traditional sculpture, blurring boundaries instead with a multidisciplinary approach mixing sculpture, painting, performance, and design. The exhibition, open until January 12, 2020, presents over twenty works by nineteen artists, many of whom have never displayed their work in a museum. Clockwise from the top: Keith Edmier, Cycas Orogeny, 2003-2004; Jessica Stockholder, Coupling, 1998; KAYA, S is for Secret Life (Chamberbag Banana Roll), 2014-2016; Magali Reus, Arbroath Smokie, 2016. All photography by Peter Tijhuis…
