Shepton Snowdrop Festival

The tenth annual Shepton Snowdrop Festival promises specialist plant sales, workshops and talks, arts and crafts, and poetry and photography competitions. It’s all in aid of the Snowdrop Project, which aims to carpet Shepton Mallet in white – so far, 500,000 bulbs have been planted. This year, its organisers have also created the Great Snowdrop Gardens Trail of Somerset, which takes in venues like East Lambrook Manor (right), where visitors can see snowdrops in profusion. sheptonsnowdrops.org.uk
