“As with many small treasures, we’re not found on the beaten track, but just a short jog onto a back road will bring you to our charming, rural 1777 location.” —Leslie Miller An old sled adorned with a Christmas welcome greets shoppers outside the charming Toll House Antiques. This red barnlike building has been an antiques shop for more than 40 years, but for the last 15 years, Leslie Powell has been the owner.
Leslie’s love of colonial antiques determines her inventory. She specializes in early-American painted furniture from the 1700s and 1800s, but also includes stoneware, kitchenware, clocks, baskets, wooden bowls, yellowware, and quilts. Handmade soaps, potpourri, and candles crafted in early molds are made by artisans and stocked by Leslie.
