2022 Cannes Yachting Festival will be the chance for Extra Yachts, ISA yachts brand, to unveil their EXTRA X99.The yacht is currently being built in Ancona yard of Palumbo Superyachts, and is scheduled for delivery next Summer. During the latest Design Week in Miami, last December, Rossinavi amazed the audience by showing their Sea Cat 40 Concept, the first cat ever designed by the Italian yard. Specialized in design and construction of steel and alluminium superyachts, Reale Yachts have recently started off their new branch “Eve”, dedicated to little and medium size, fully customizable boats. True to their names, these boats receive the yard’s best legacy and are therefore 100% alluminium built, which makes them strong, reliable and fully customizable. The construction of Akira project YN 29457 officially began on February 9th. Omega Architects designed the exterior, Harrison Eidsgaard was in charge of the interior. Project Akira is the first of a new 57-metre alluminium-made yacht series, whose basis is nothing but Van Oossanen’s FDHF hull, furtherly improved by Heesen Architects. Benefits provided by this specially designed hull allow Akira to reach 22 knots in maximum speed despite a relatively small engine; draught is also reduced, which makes the 57-metre ship perfectly suitable for those who love shallow Caribbean waters. Wally 101 took an important step on February 17th .The carbon-made hull was finally taken out of her female mould showing flawless quality and finishing. The hull of a new Ferretti Yachts 780 has just taken to water in Cattolica, close to the yard. The yacht was commissioned by a Maltese owner. Heesen 60-metre Lusine, YN 19630, was delivered to her owner last February. Also known as “Project Falcon”, the yacht left the yard after the usual sea-trials in North-Sea, where she confirmed her 17.5 knot maximum speed. Royal Huisman finally turned the hull of their Project 406, on March 11th, in their Vollenhove plants. Project 406 is a 6-deck and 52-metre sportfish yacht, namey the largest in the world.
