SeaXplorer’s trendy fleet will be delivering its third a 58 metre in 2022. Following the success obtained with the 77 metre “la Datcha” and the 65 metre “Anawa”, the 58 is being currently built by Damen in collaboration with Azure Yacht Design and Design Unlimited. Thanks to a predefined platform this Dutch built yacht will be completed in about two years. Overmarine group has recently revealed Mangusta Oceano 39 their new entry level of the long range yachts line which comprises the 43,46,50,55, and 60 metre motor yachts. The Oceano 39 is clearly the smallest. It was designed by Alberto Mancini there’s a lot to say about the styling on this yacht which in fact aims to offer an even closer experience with the immediate surroundings than before; on diverse preceding other models. Nearly all of the superstructure features cut glass sliding doors and panels over large surface areas which allow constant dialogue every time this is requested between interior and exterior spaces. The project design of the new 55 metre was drawn up by the in house design team handling the interiors and number C123. Like others it is named “Framura” and is preceded in chronologic order by 45 metre Construction F72 “Framura 2” renamed today as “Tenshi” launched in 2010 and by 50 metre construction number C120 “Framura 3” three years later in 2013. It enables the unification of each TV and internet function on board into a single apparatus. Sanlorenzo Superyacht shipyard in La Spezia launched the fifth model of the 52 Steel on February 8th and three more are currently being built. This 52 metre long steel superyacht spreads over five decks but manages to stay below 500 gross tons. Princess yard’s “Superfly” X Class kicked off with the X95 and has enlarged its range further with the smaller X80 which has been scheduled for launching in the autumn of this year. The X80 has been built with the collaboration of Olesinski naval architecture studio and Pininfarina Design. The ingredients of this superyacht are the same as the ones used for the larger model right from the design work featuring an “S” shaped helm control station or more simply the wheel house which in this case as well has been positioned along part of the upper deck according to this British yard’s ‘open concept’ idea of styling. Nowadays yachts, RIBS, leisure ships, sailing yachts often offer the same modes of use specially when it comes to extendible stern platforms. But things are now looking different since Valerio Rivellini was the first to introduce technologically assisted exploitable space of stern platforms by presenting one on the Evo Yacht 43 which inspired the creation of many others. Rivellini naval engineer and designer also applied extendible stern ends to the 56 metre concept recently presented to underscore the ‘paternity’ of the system which is called Extended Explorer. Fabio Ermetto now 49 graduated from Rotterdam University with a degree in naval engineering. 2021 started with sale of the fourth Diamond 145 model, Benetti’s 44 metre motor yacht with a gross tonnage of 456 tons. The project design work was handled by M. Cassetta and the yard’s Interior Style Department. The delivery of this yacht has been scheduled for the summer of 2022. Benetti’s engineers, project designers and decorators will be developing a six cabin layout as requested by the owner so as to offer 12 guests plenty of comfortable space. Rossinavi’s successful season has accelerated further. On December 16th the yard delivered 52 metre custom built motoryacht Florentia. Vafiadis’s studio handled the exterior lines whereas Carlo Colombo and his A++ studio designed the interiors on a hull by Arrabito Naval Architects.
