FOUR suspects have appeared in court for their alleged part in violent protests that erupted in Seshego, Limpopo, last month.
The suspects – Jossey Buthane (40), Freddy Magongoa (39), Obakeng Makhura (42) and Oupa Ramaphoko (39) – face theft, attempted murder, assault with intent to do grievous bodily harm and kidnapping charges.
“They allegedly went on a rampage on 12 January, looking for persons suspected of being criminals. The suspects allegedly damaged property, kidnapped one person and assaulted him until he lost consciousness,” police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo said.
