BACK IN 1992, THE ILLEGAL TOYS CLUB FORMED, AND THE JULIAN BROTHERS AND CREW PUT ON A LOCAL CAR AND TRUCK SHOW. Over the years, the show has become so successful that it now takes over Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As 2020 became the year of the pandemic, more and more shows were canceled due to social distancing issues and mask wearing mandates. The event promoters and the Julian brothers, however, went full steam ahead and laid out security measures to hold their show and bring people together without being too close. Setting records, Oklahoma Summer Bash brought in more than 300 registered vehicles and 2,500 spectators. Everyone followed the rules by wearing masks and keeping a safe distance from others. GROWING UP, WE ALL REMEMBER GETTING YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE AND BUYING YOUR FIRST VEHICLE. Greg Dennis of Leesville, South Carolina, remembers purchasing his first vehicle like it was yesterday. In 1994, Greg purchased his ’82 Chevrolet C10. “It was my first truck,” Greg recalls. “My dad had to cosign for me. AMERICAN CHASSIS ALL AMERICAN CHASSIS IS NOW OFFERING CHASSIS FOR 1955-’59 GM TRUCKS FOR CUSTOMERS WHO WANT TO RUN COILOVERS OR AIRBAGS. All chassis are fabricated and boxed using 3/16-inch steel. The airbag chassis will lay out on a 32-inch-tall tire at the rear, 30 inches for the front. Front wheels can either be 8.5 inches wide with a 5.750-inch backspacing or 9 inches wide with a 6-inch backspacing. It has a 6-inch ride height and lays true frame rail. This 1998 GMC Sierra is getting a complete makeover from front to back, including an all new air-ride suspension, a retro-fit wood bed floor, all new interior pieces and tons of upgrades to its original 5.7-liter V-8 engine.
