For as far back as she can remember, Leslie Sinclair has had a passion for color and creativity. While other little girls were playing with dolls, Leslie recalls painting—and repainting— their wee-sized furniture. In the early years of her marriage, to balance her high-pressure job, she’d put color to canvas, experimenting with hues and textures. Then, after Leslie’s third child was born, she left corporate America and finally put her brush to work professionally.
Combining passions for architecture, interior design, art, people, and business, Leslie opened Segreto Finishes—named after her husband’s Italian surname, meaning “secret”—in Houston in 1995.
