It’s been 14 years since the original GT-R broke out into the world and brought with it a whole new generation of Japanese performance car fans. It’s eight years since the first Nismo version of the GT-R was unveiled to the world. Upon release it became the fastest production car around the Nürburgring. There’s a reason why it’s earned the Godzilla nickname among its fanbase, it’s an absolute beast when it comes to performance. Among the incredible selection of cars we saw at the Goodwood Festival of Speed there was one that took us back more than the rest. It’s the Genesis X Coupe, the brand’s latest concept car and it has to be said that it is their most beautiful to date. Of course, we had seen images making their way around the web but in-person it is a whole other experience. This car is bold and interesting in the most special way. Upon first glance, the Genesis X Coupe appears harmonious but look a little closer and the bold, contrasting design aspects appear. It was only a matter of time before BMW introduced a coupe version of their range-topping X7 SUV. As the X1 got the coupe-like X2, the X3 got the X4 and the X5 got the X6, the X7 will be getting a coupe-ified version with the all-new X8 which sit atop the BMW SUV range. It is set to feature a more aggressively sloped roof but has the same platform and powertrains as the more conventional X7. There is also the potential for a X8 M performance model that could feature the brand’s 625 bhp 4.0-litre V8. Back at the Geneva Motor Show in 2019, Aston Martin revealed three mid-engined supercars known as the Valkyrie, Valhalla and Vanquish. Each of them insane in their own right and listed in order of decreasing insanity. The ultimate track car, known as the Valkyrie was released with a £2.5million price tag, while the Valhalla is said to be a more usable version of the track-focused hypercar. Finally the Vanquish name is set to return as a more “affordable” option and it will compete with the McLaren Artura. In July, the production Aston Martin Valhalla was revealed in all its glory with a price tag of roughly £600k. Hello Bugatti It was only a few months ago, as the sun was just beginning to rise, and the city was starting to experience its usual hustle and bustle of the Sytner marketing team. Compared to most traditional car manufacturers who are developing EVs, Audi has been a lot more conventional. With the e-tron Sportback S, it’s not seeking to make a statement or push boundaries. It’s purpose is simply to help regular SUV drivers make the jump to electric. It’s taken familiar concepts from their successful cars and merged them with a new electric SUV that rivals the Tesla Model X, Jaguar I-Pace and Mercedes EQC. A favorite among Audi fans, the RS6 is back and more raucous than ever before, combining the practicality of a family car with blisteringly quick supercar performance. It also benefits from the class-leading technology Audi has developed since the last iteration and heaps of luxury and sophistication. In July, we had the opportunity to experience the Polestar Precept in person at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. As you may know, the Precept was the test bed where Polestar was developing new features for future vehicles. However, late last year it received the green light to become a showroom model in its lineup. From 2023, you will be able to order your very own Precept and we can just tell it’s pre-orders will sell out in minutes. This July, BMW revealed the all new s-Series coupes at the Goodwood Festival of Speed to huge applause from the audience. The best news of all is that they will be sticking with rear-wheel drive on the lower 220i while the more powerful M240i will get BMW’s excellent iDrive all-wheel drive. Before you ask, the kidney grille isn’t as huge on the the 2-series coupes as it is on higher tier models. So, let’s start by discussing the new design of the M240i. First off, it features a much more modest kidney grille than it’s older siblings in the M3 and M4, though aerodynamic air flaps are still present. This grille is offset by small, high mounted headlights that feed into and accentuate the grille’s appearance. They also feature a…

Audi is set to follow up its Q4 e-tron in quick succession with the all-new Q6 e-tron set to launch early next year. It is expected to fit directly between the Q4 e-tron and the larger e-tron SUV and will share its platform with the upcoming electrified Porsche Macan. It will likely be a fight with the Mercedes EQC, Ford Mustang Mach E and forthcoming BMW iX for market share. If the specs we have so far are anything to go by, it’s certainly up for the fight.
