How to spot it and where to find it: At first glance, this cheerful little flower might be mistaken for the common daisy (Bellis perennis), but its blooms are much bigger. Those solitary heads can measure up to 5cm wide; it is our largest native member of the daisy family. The leaves grow from the lowest part of the stem and are often described as spoon-shaped. Found on roadside verges, meadows and waste ground, it is a hardy perennial herb.
