How to spot it and where to find it: You will find this low, creeping perennial herb in woodland, on hedgerows, banks and any moist, usually shaded, habitats. It has long-stalked, light green leaves that are divided into three leaflets and white flowers, veined in lilac or purple. Wood sorrel is one of very few plants able to thrive in the deep shade of conifer plantations.
