How to spot it and where to find it: The scourge of the lawn-proud gardener, the perennial daisy is widespread across the UK and is perhaps one of our most recognisable plants. It occurs in virtually all types of grassland, but fares best in those that are quite wet for part of the year. It is seen in parks, roadside verges and pastures, as well as riverbanks, around lakes and upland flushes and sand dunes.
