Scottish sisters Jennifer and Seonaid McIntosh both claimed gold medals at the European Shooting Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, last month.
Jennifer, 26, took top prize in the 50m rifle prone event, and accumulated a final score of 619.1. Seonaid, 21, won gold in the 50m rifle three positions event with a score of 458.5. Jennifer also featured in the three positions event, as Great Britain took overall team gold, combining the scores of the McIntosh sisters and teammate Katie Gleeson.
Speaking after her gold medal win, Jennifer, who finished fifth overall, said: “It’s incredible to be European champion, it’s not really sunk in yet — this is huge. The weather conditions were really, really hard so you don’t know what’s going on in terms of how your opponents are handling…
