There were prizes aplenty at the 2017 Kennel Club Gundog Working Tests at Chatsworth House last month.
Deepfleet Deni of Moonreed, an English springer, owned and handled by Alastair Ross, won the open spaniel gundog working test, while FTCh Brocklebank Navigator of Chatsworth, a Labrador retriever, owned by the Duchess of Devonshire and handled by John Halsted, won the open retriever title.
Aytee Juniper, a German shorthaired pointer bitch from Norfolk, owned and handled by Lucie Hustler, won the HPR test, while Ireland claimed victory in the international retriever team event.
Caitlin Cannon, 17, from Buckinghamshire, won the young handlers’ test, with her Labrador retriever, Flo.
There were also plenty of novice winners, with Moose, a Labrador from Leicestershire, owned and handled by Laura Hill, taking the novice retriever title.…
