How much is too much?
In your publication, towards the end of last season, your editor’s mind was exercised on several occasions on the subject of what makes a good day’s shooting, particularly in respect of bag sizes.
Those of us who are involved in the sport of shooting are a pretty diverse bunch, so expectations vary greatly. To quite a few of us a bag of around 50 would be fine; to others 100 to 150 represents a perfect day; others look higher towards 250, 300 or even 500, which are all pretty much understandable in the right situation.
But, just as a thought, where is the threshold where the day moves from being enjoyable and acceptable to all involved to being, perhaps, excessive, greedy and, basically, just not…
