PERNOD RICARD HAS POSTED SALES up 20% to €2.7 billion ($3.14b) for its fiscal first quarter ended in September, propelled by gains in the U.S. and Asia. “We have had a very dynamic start to the year, as expected, with strong demand in most markets,” said chairman and CEO Alexandre Ricard. “The off-trade remains resilient and I am particularly pleased to note the continued recovery of the on-trade.”
In the U.S., Pernod’s sales increased 9% in the three months through September, with the company highlighting particularly strong contributions from The Glenlivet, Malibu, Aberlour, Redbreast, Martell, and the company’s American whiskey and Tequila brands.
