A day’s drift fishing over wrecks, and other offshore features, has a lot of potential. While it can’t be said that anything in angling is guaranteed, as well as the potential for any angler to enjoy a good day out amongst good company, a wreck trip offers someone new to our sport a very real chance to get connected to a decent-sized, hard-fighting fish on sporting tackle. On top of that, many of the fish you may catch are great for eating; pollack, cod, gurnard and even John Dory.
