Traditionally one of England's powerhouses in rugby, Leicester won 10 Premiership titles between 1988 and 2013. This followed purple patches in the Midlands Counties Cup (12 titles) since the club was founded in 1880. Both endured tough upbringings in underprivileged areas outside Cape Town, and both were told that they were too small for professional rugby.
