December is the height of summer and your garden should be overflowing with flowering shrubs, annuals and perennials.
Agapanthus, Hydrangea, Fuschia and day lilies should be looking their best. Whether you are going on holiday or spending the festive season at home, December is a busy month in the garden, so get stuck in early so that you can relax over the holidays!
• The festive season is time for whites and reds - plant Iceberg roses, which are vigorous growers and ideal for mass plantings, and red gardenias, for festive colour (remember that gardenias prefer a slightly acidic soil).
• Add bright colour in containers with petunias, Dianthus, salvias, marigolds and Impatiens (look out for the new ‘SunPatiens’® for sunny spots).
