Paul Walsh, Hinckley’s DoR for ten years, will be missed when crossing the Channel in July with his French wife Elodie to take over his in-laws’ manor house in Brittany and coach “just for fun but not as a job” at Saint-Nazaire. George Chuter, the ex-England hooker, is stepping into his boots at the Two North club.
Walsh, from South Shields, got his Level Four coaching award in 2007 and has coached Leicestershire since 2010, having been England U18 backs coach for three years. He was director of sport at Welbeck College before becoming DoR at Nottingham University. Between that and his club work, he is full-time.
