CLUB FOCUS CHESHAM
The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier club became stars of the screen thanks to outdoor advertising company JCDecaux, who picked Chesham for a month-long campaign focusing on grass-roots rugby in September. Pictures of players from the men’s, women’s and junior sections featured on the company’s electronic boards across major railway stations, bus stops and shopping centres, and there was live Twitter coverage of games, videos, results and interviews with players.
The RFU, JCDecaux and Chesham teamed up to promote both the game and findrugby.com, a portal enabling the public to locate their nearest rugby club.
