Characterised by sculptural forms and clean lines, the designs won hearts when they were first released between 1947 and 1974. The reissued pieces, while true to the originals, have been revitalised with contemporary fabrics and colours to tantalise 21st-century design lovers. 2. Grant, born in Geelong in 1922, was a self-taught lighting and glass-panel designer. After serving in World War II, he returned to Melbourne to design furniture, opening a showroom in 1956.
