AFTER MOVING TO SYDNEY from London with their two children, furniture and space designer Olivia Bossy and her husband Joe Mount immediately saw potential in a tiny seaside apartment in Freshwater on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. “It fit into the vision I had of a family beach pad with a modernist vibe,” Olivia explains. “It was very ’60s, and not in the best way – it had mauve walls, and it felt really small.” MODERNIST MANIFESTO Not surprisingly, those mauve walls were the first feature to go when the couple gutted their 51-square-metre home in 2017. CREATIVE we love TANJA KOVACEVIC WAS WORKING in the fashion industry when she signed up for a weekend jewellery-making class. “I thought I’d like to make something with my own two hands,” Tanja says. “I knew the minute I made my first ring that I wanted to keep doing it.
